Microneedling works by stimulating the production of new collagen in the skin. This is achieved by puncturing the dermis with microscopic needles. The treatment utilizes the skin's ability to heal itself, in turn triggering the production of new collagen.
In addition to treating pores, fine wrinkles, loss of elasticity, minor scarring (including acne scarring), and sun damage, microneedling also enables topical products to penetrate deeper into the skin, increasing their effectiveness.
